We’re on the hunt for reliable, friendly volunteers with good communication skills. You’ll be helping people get from A to B and making sure attendees enjoy themselves, in a safe, friendly environment.
What is stewarding?
Stewards play such an important role in helping festivals and events run smoothly and creating a happy, vibrant atmosphere.

Middlesbrough Mela Stewarding Volunteer (Albert Park, Middlesbrough)
We’re on the hunt for reliable, friendly volunteers with good communication skills. Our Stewarding Team plays an important role in ensuring attendees have a great experience, helping to make the festival a fabulous success!
Middlesbrough Mela Family Zone Facilitators (Albert Park, Middlesbrough)
We’re on the hunt for creative volunteers with fantastic artistic or performance skills. You will assist in the delivery of a variety or arts, crafts and performance based workshops. This role would suit students studying a creative subject./p>
Middlesbrough Mela Runner and Event Support Volunteer (Albert Park, Middlesbrough)
We’re on the hunt for fit and active, reliable, friendly volunteers with good communication skills. Our Runners and Event Support Volunteers play an important role in ensuring everything runs smoothly, helping to make the festival a fabulous success!

We’re on the hunt for reliable, friendly volunteers with good communication skills. Our Customer Experience Team plays an important role in ensuring attendees have a great experience, helping to make the festival a fabulous success!

Once you have signed up to be part of Tees Valley Festivals Volunteering you will receive training in Customer Service and Health & Safety. There will be opportunities for further training in Inclusivity & Accessibility, Working with Children, Digital Capture, Content Creation and Social Media, and Sound and Technical Production. You can also get involved in some exciting creative community art and music workshops which will be running across the Tees Valley. And you can earn, and take part in, the RSA’s wonderful new Badge Nation Award Programme.
