Following the success of our much loved story Sara, Middlesbrough Mela is releasing its second children’s story Henna!

Launching at the Dorman Museum in Middlesbrough on Sunday 24 October there will be FREE family activities to enjoy and a chance to take a free copy of the book home!

Join our storyteller as he reads the story of Henna written by Umar Butt.
Henna is an inspiring story of a Hen that defies the odds as she take on a challenge she was told she couldn’t do. Full of beautiful illustrations by Becki Harper this story will capture the imaginations of little ones and take them on a journey of hope and raising aspirations.
On Sunday 24 October we will also have a BSL interpreted storytelling of Henna.

Alongside storytelling sessions you can drop in to free dance sessions with Urban Kaos to learn moves inspired by the the story and also join artist Adele Catchpole to create a hanging hen that you can decorate and take home.
